Welcome to my blog !
Finally!! Laruku comes to my little island to perform!!  Thanks to Liyan, we managed to get excellent seats in Cat 2 (worth $188 each).  When we arrived at the Indoor Stadium, we noticed this lovely balloon arch and flower arrangement celebrating Laruku's 20th anniversary.
The flower arrangement comes with a cute plush merlion. So adorable!!!

This is how close I was to the stage!!

During the first short interlude, hyde spoke in English telling us that he had the Singapore Sling the previous night and it was strong, so he got drunk.  However, he also said that he will not lose to the Singapore Sling (implying that he'll rock on)!!  Here are some photos of the concert for you guys to enjoy....

hyde giving an intense expression.  He kept flirting with the audience by giving his sultry looks, pouts and he even sent kisses to the audience!!

My fave song - 瞳の住人.
hyde - the only man who can wear a wide brimmed hat and still look like a man.  tetsuya - the only man who can wear flower print trousers and still rock like a rock star.
yukihriro - man of few (no) words but lets his awesome drumming skills speak

This is when we went screaming like mad
When we really really went crazy screaming.  I admit.  I screamed like a fan girl too :P
The finale where feathers were floating down.  Such a pretty sight!  I actually managed to get a feather but I lost it :( I think it came out of my bag when I took my wallet out to pay the cab driver. :((

On the left is their 'World Best Selection' album sold exclusively only during their concerts as well as streamers with the words "L'arc~en~ciel", "20th L'Anniversary" and their L'20 logo.  On the right is the play list of songs that they performed.  Below is a short video clip that I took just before they sung 'Niji'.

All in all, it was a very good concert!  Such a shame that they ended at 10.30-ish.  All of us wished that they played a couple more songs.  I really want their crew T-shirts (looked a lot nicer than those sold) and I was grabbing Liyan's arm saying, "I WANT!!!" when hyde was throwing picks into the audience.  tetsuya was teasing the audience with his 'funky bananas' and asking people whether they want to 'liiiick his lollipops'.  He did his usual slapping of his bass with the banana before throwing it into the audience.  I was sitting pretty close to one of the bananas thrown but unfortunately, none for me.  ken was really funny.  He wrote down a whole monologue on how he went to Mustafa and bought several pink merlions for tetsuya as well as a 'kawaii monopoly'.  The pink merlions (6 of them) came in descending sizes.  Hilarious.

For guys in their 40s, they really still have got it on!!  hyde is still smoking hot and rocking!!  When I do get married, can my hubby still please look this great when he's in his 40s?  LOL.

Right now, I can't wait for Miyavi or even Hirai Ken (fantasizes him crooning 瞳を閉じてat the Esplanade Concert Hall) to come to Singapore!!  Or even Flow.  Gah....Jrock and Jpop is NOT dead in Singapore as long as we're still around!! Yeeaahhhh!!!!

My hospitalisation leave ended last week so I went back to work on Wednesaday like the good girl I am.  Wednesday was SUPER tiring for me.  I think I went cross-eyed.  Staring at the computer screens and clearing emails was just draining my eye power while just being at work from 8.30am - 6pm with little rest was just...tiring.  Didn't help that I felt faint at about 6.30pm and just needed to head home.

Thursday and Friday weren't so bad.  Friday went by a bit slowly though but I was glad that I went back to work mid week.  I think if I went back to work on a Monday, I'd be overwhelmed and would really pass out on my desk.

Ah well.  Work.  Necessary evil as I need to pay off my hospital bill. :(

Celebrated a darling baby's 1st month on Sunday!  Top photo was Alistair snoozing and ignoring us pinching his cheeks and cooing at how cute he is.  The lower pic is us 3 musketeers aka the besties. Alistair's in his mummy's arms and he's ready to be milkfed!! :) So adorable.  Does it make me want to have my own baby? Kinda...but then...let me concentrate on finding a good guy first ;)

Wanted something really simple to do and yet works on some of my shorter nails (they chipped) so I decided to do a real leopard print colour scheme this time round.

Base colour - butter yellow from TheFaceShop
Brown spots - Flesh/ nude brown from another Korean brand (sorry, can't remember the name but I guess you can check back on the previous leopard print nail art that I did)
Black lines - nail dot pen by TheFaceShop

Yay...pretty nails are here to stay!!!
The new Flora Sunglasses range by Gucci is so cute!  Love the little butterfly at the corner and the shades come in various colours.  So cute!!

My gosh...the Epi leather tote comes in such a yummy candy colour!  I'd love to just have it for a day but I'd have trouble matching it with a lot of my clothes though.

Hah..that's all.  This is quite a random fashion post :P
I just removed my stitches yesterday so I feel a lot more comfortable now! :)  I now have 2 small crosses (scars) and a line...haha...'battle wounds'.  Anyway, thing is that endometriosis is a long term condition so I am currently on a treatment where I get a series of injections that block my oestrogen so that I go into a semi-menopausal state to prevent this endometriosis from recurring.  Well, I'll have to stop it when I want to get preggers.  Such joy, isn't it?  You can read an article written by my gynae here regarding this condition.

Anyway, to celebrate my removal of stitches as well as finally solving my whole really bad period problem, I decided to put on the fake nails ($3.50) which I bought some time ago.

Looks a little chin chiong, I know, but I found it rather sweet.  However, if you follow me on twitter, you'll know that the caption read "Nails for the Day?"  I normally change my nail design once a week.  In this case, the stupid pack only had ONE nail per size.  How silly is that??  I couldn't deck out all my nails in the end because there wasn't any nail small enough for my right index finger!  Ok...this is the follow up to my tweet.  The nails didn't even last an hour.  The left pinky dropped out after an hour.  Then when I went to bed, the left fourth nail came out.  When I woke up this morning at 10am, all the white flowers had dropped out.  After my shower, the left thumb dropped off.  Pathetic glue and bits.  The next time I decide to go cheapo, it had better be from Daiso.  As I'm typing this, only the right third and fourth nails are still attached.  I'm going to take them off soon.  :P

So...instead of being a fun girly nail affair, it turned into a teeth-baring "I-wanna-rip-you-guys-off" moment with said nails.  Sigh.  Shall celebrate in other ways.  Korean BBQ anyone?
Hey all, I've just had another surgery done and this time, it is to remove all the growth in my fallopian tubes, near my ovaries as well as parts of my intestines.  My condition is known as endometriosis and this explains the PCOS, the excessive bleeding, irregular periods, depression and even lethargy.

The best decision that I've ever made was to just not care about the money and go see my private gynae.  If I had stayed with SGH, they would've still kept their diagnosis that I've got borderline PCOS and I would've continued to suffer month after month.  I nearly fainted twice last year and thank goodness both times I was at home.  My current gynae was quite upset that the doctors in the A&E didn't detect the thick uterine lining and see it as a cause of worry.

Anyway, what causes endometriosis?  Doctors still don't know and it could be hereditary and exacerbated with stress.  Worst part of this is that it can recur.  So now, I have to go see my gynae for regular injections.  To add, he advised that once I get married, to hurry and get pregnant because my condition makes it tough for me to conceive.  Such good news, isn't it?  Well, with this surgery, I really hope to be back to normal and live life normally.  This should help my weight loss since my hormones should be going back to normal.

So ladies, if you have more than 2 of the symptoms that I had mentioned earlier, please go and see a reliable gynaecologist.

Some thank yous now...thanks to Ming who brought me taiyaki in the hospital! Zedd who brought me egg tarts! Father Suyono who brought me Holy Communion as well as all the well wishes via Facebook.  Check out the get well basket from the company below...
