Everyone around me seem to be getting married! 1 colleague will be getting married on 30 Sep, another on 2 Nov and my Cubey will be getting married on 3 Nov!! Oct is a 'free' period but it involves getting ready for Cubey's wedding since she tasked me with making jewellery for the bridesmaids and myself (still undecided whether I will make one for myself or not).

The black earrings above are a personal favourite and it was soooo difficult to get a good shot because the black just absorbed all the light.  I had to bring the light really close to the flower, take a mirror to reflect more light on it AND use flash.  The things I do for my art. :P

I bought a beading magazine recently and I decided to try out one of the designs. I experimented with crystals and different kinds of beads first to see how it'll turn out (I like bending the rules). Not bad for a first try, isn't it? I've yet to add jump hoops and the clasp to it but I'm thinking of making a series of them as charms that you can choose to make it as a necklace pendant or a bracelet charm.

I received another customisation order on Tuesday and the client wanted a necklace for his girlfriend. He, being a guy, had no clue about how he wanted the necklace to look like. He only told me that it must have butterflies. It was only after a little more probing that I found out that she likes purple and that her taste in jewellery tends to be more simple and easy to match.

As such, the above is what I have come up with. I used a butterfly clasp, so that it becomes the focal point. The endings were made with pink freshwater pearls, metal charms, purple beads and blue crystals.

Hope he likes it and his girlfriend too!
