It has been an exhausting week that felt like it was dragging extra long...but it's SATURDAY!! :D I love the weekends...it's never long enough, agree?
Anyways, I've signed up for the Mizuno Mt Faber 10 km run, which will be happening next Sun, 13 June! All in support for financial aid of students! :) Okie dokes...have to continue doing my Japanese homework followed by translation of Mixim 11 Vol. 6. Deadline looms....
Ooh...my family from the US will be arriving in Singapore tomorrow! My apartment will be crowded...imagine...7 adults (including maid), 1 child and a dog...squashed into 3 bedrooms....I'm most afraid that Baileys will go mental and my cuz will start shouting at Baileys. Not fun. Hate noise. Upside is that I promised to bring my cuz to Timbre for live music and Universal Studios! :) Will defo blog about those experiences!

Oooh...look what the mail brought it last week! The English samples of the current comic series that I'm translating for Chuangyi Publishing - Mixim 11!! It is a shounen manga, meaning that it is meant more for boys rather than girls. Explains the tons of action scenes, fighting and less dialogue.
There's a slight thrill seeing my name as the translator and yes, there definitely is a sense of satisfaction in seeing this final product and knowing that there will be many kids out there enjoying my translation. :D
I'm not sure when these comics will hit the stands. If you already see it on the shelves in bookstores, do let me know! Volume 4 is sitting on my desk and ready to be translated. Have fun reading them, folks!

Just a quick post from me today. I do have new pics etc but I am busy and will be busy for this whole week. Well, I AM working despite me being overseas and having a semi-holiday. I am busy translating the latest volume of the manga "Ouran High Host Club" and my deadline's 1 June - Singapore time!! =P
Sorry, can't scan and post any of it because I am bound by copyright etc. I am trying to rush this translation BEFORE the deadline because I seriously have a backlog of stuff to do. I haven't been trading (Gor's flatmate was announcing how the GBP/USD rose...and I missed out on that...grrr....), haven't updated Oct 1983, haven't made new stuff :( and haven't taken pics of some really nice apparel that's only available here!
Oh..btw, my friend said that she bought her Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM from London for approximately SGD 800. I've checked the LV website and the GM version (largest) is retailling for GBP 430 and the MM version (medium) is retailling for GBP 405. Apologies for not having the SGD prices but I do remember that the medium one is selling for over SGD 1k. Do drop me an email at melissa.fann@oopsiwannasay.com if you want to order any of these bags! I will defo update if I find the prices in SGD!

I've finally installed and managed to get Joomla running on my server. I'm trying to get a more professional website up for OCT 1983 Accessories. However, its not as user friendly as I hoped it would be. It immediately sets up this Joomla website on my site and then it doesn't really tell me HOW to change the pages etc. You would've thought that it would start with a blank page and then you add links and pics etc. No....its NOT that user friendly. No wonder there are money grabbers out there who are selling video tutorials for Joomla. Can someone pls SHOW me how to use this thing?? I'm starting to think that html coding might be easier..... :P
Oh...I just found out that Oops...I Wanna Say.com has been featured in Danish website! Check out my 'media' page in Oops...I Wanna Say! I'm also in the midst of setting up the Chinese version and its 80% done! I'm so proud of myself. I actually mastered the subdoman thingy without anyone teaching me. *pat on the back* *grin* Now...if I can see Ryosuke online, I will remind him about the Japanese translation that he owes me.
Ah well...I'm guessing that he's busy since he's going to graduate in April and is planning his grad tour to Taiwan and Korea (if I remember correctly). The dude's gonna move to Tokyo too. Who wants to practice their Japanese translation?? Only JLPT2 and above k.
