I made or attempted to make red velvet cupcakes on Sunday and these are my dessert babies!! Well...I'm not going to call them cupcakes but chocolate cakes with cheese frosting instead! :P

The reason for that is because rather than using chocolate powder, I added melted chocolate, which weighed the cake down. I should've added more baking powder to make it rise but ah well...its my first time baking cupcakes! I've learnt something new! :)

I am very pleased with the frosting and it was uber yummy! The red velvet part didn't come out very red...perhaps I should've added more red food colouring.

I will try baking more stuff once inspiration/ craving hits!

Was reading my friend's, Hendra, blog and he mentioned this vid clip that's raging like H1N1 on the net. Amazing...this guy was whacked by his, whom we assume, girlfriend. She used her high heel to hit him below the belt three times AND she used that same heel to hit his face!! OMG.

Worst part is that the guy didn't even retaliate!! He had this sheepish stance and just let her carry on her rampage. Apparently, this couple caused a jam because cars couldn't drive past her car (a Lexus, btw).

On Tue, after a talk on the Oneness programme, a bunch of us went for supper and while waiting for our food...a sudden "Vrooom vroom" sound was heard followed by 2 imported sports cars parked just next to us.

Check out the license plate - TMJ. Wince then kindly explained to us that its the Prince of Johor. Ooh...Prince of Johor coming all the way to Singapore for supper. True indeed, there was the bodyguards flanking them. One driving in a Jeep and the other in a proton. I think there were two princes because there was another imported car with the license plate RMJ. What do they stand for? I have NO idea.

The Singapore police was doing their rounds and you could see all the Singaporean cars scrambling to drive off since they were parked there illegally but they just drove past this Malaysian entourage.

Hehe...that was my entertainment for the night. There was the Oneness programme talk earlier that proved to be emotionally draining but more on that once I'm able to really put thoughts into words. :)

I know...I haven't been blogging as often as I used to and this is because I have been really busy and will continue being busy for the next week or so.  A lot of things have happened and are happening thanks to me having a full time job, part time job which is my businesses AND I've got a new manga to translate!

 

I'm so tired and I don't want to blog for blog's sake...after all, I believe in quality of posts as opposed to quantity.  So do bear with me while I get things done!  Of course, I'll keep you guys informed!

My wonderful luck continues with my watch running out of battery today and while walking to work, the front part of my shoe came unglued.  Thank goodness I was carrying my slippers in my bag (wanted to leave them in the office).  I think I need to leave a couple of slippers in the office/ handbag for situations like this. 

 

I wonder whether I’m stretching myself too thin.  I’m now working full-time while carrying out my biz part-time.  In addition, I am still freelancing manga translation AND I’m intending to do my JLPT2 at the end of this year.  The funny thing is that I don’t feel tired at all.  I don’t feel myself dragging my arse around.  Perhaps this is what is meant by finding some sort of fulfillment! J

 

Yup…one MUST be positive and see the upside in everything!  I’m glad to say that I’m in the midst of uploading my 2^nd hand stuff onto cannla.com for my online ‘garage’ sale come 1^st Sept.  Do keep a look out for that!
