I've been too lazy to upload some pics so you guys have to wait...haha.
Went to the Marina Barrage (I've nicknamed it as the green toilet bowl) today and I highly suggest NOT wearing jeans there on a hot sunny afternoon such as today. It was sweltering and I was wondering why half the people bothered to be there. There was also a bunch of amateur photographers with 2 amateur models doing a mini photoshoot in the gallery and seriously, I was just thinking how those 2 models didn't deserve to be models. Oops...bitch Mel is out. Ok, I'm not model quality either but hear my rant first. I'm not talking about myself...I was referring to those 2 ladies. They might be the nicest people on earth but models they are not. Firstly, the lack of height. They're less than 1.7m!! Secondly, they just don't have that X-factor. So..snap snap snap away and those photos will still turn out rather bland (warned you that I was in bitch mode). One of them was so skinny, I think she would've fallen over if a strong wind blew. May I please donate some fats to her for her to place wherever she wants? Boobs/ butt...wherever!! Give that woman a steak!
When I saw that group of photogs/ models...I just couldn't help but think that these girls were earning a quick buck (nothing wrong with that) and these photogs just couldn't find better subjects. Ah well...we need bunches of people like that to make the economy go round. There's hope yet for the recession.
Went driving through Orchard Road this evening with my domestic helper (yes, I'm being politically correct) just to show her the lights and decoration. This year's lighting stretched farther than before but not as pretty as the year when some French designers did it. That was prolly in a bull market. Haha... =P Most shopping centres also cut back on their Christmas deco. Gone were the days when the whole store front facade was decorated with large figures and ribbons etc. Gone where the days when the shopping centres competed with one another for the best decoration. Hate to say this...but...RECESSION. May not quite seem like it..but its here. Hello Mr R. Hello Mr Bear. How ironic that next year will be the year of the Ox. Ah well...c'est la vie. As they say, things move in a cycle. Let's wait for that upswing baby!!

Ok, I bought this Japanese Mochi New Year Cake (ie. 年糕 or 鏡餅 kagami mochi in Japanese). Instead of the traditional bitter orange on top, I bought one with a cat!! This cat is supposed to welcome love...hehee :) There's one with a cow and that's meant for health and there's another cat meant for wealth. So cute! I bought this in preparation for the CNY. I'm not sure how I'm going to eat this....its not sweetened like our Chinese New Year Cake. I'd probably buy some red bean paste...I think. Still very undecided.
Well, its Christmas Eve...so HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!! :) Tis the season of joy and to remember the incredible love that God has for us to send his son down. That's really the significance of this day...although technically speaking, Christmas might be in June etc. In other words, 25 Dec isn't really Jesus' birthday...but that's something else to debate upon. :P
Somebody commented that I don't post enough pics on my blog. Weeeelll...I'm gonna disappoint you guys again.
I went to Kathy's and Irene's place today and I didn't take any pics of their babies!! :P But they're super duper cute. Baby Jazlyn's almost 2 mths while Baby Elisa is 1.5mths old. Can you imagine them gurgling and kicking and rolling around? Jazz was in a good mood today and she kept smiling and laughing. So adorable. For those men out there, apologies but I'm going to start gushing and yes, my maternal instincts are out in full flare. I want to have my own babies too.... :( but no bf...yet. Haha....I think it'd be so cute when I do have babies and then they'll call my parents "Ah Ma" and "Ah Gong"...awwwww.....Anyways, Irene has this plan that she and Kathy will bring their daughters to Clara's place so that they can take a pic of Baby Jonathan together with Jazz and Elisa. Sooo cute!!
Ok, besides the babies, I also met up with Ryan whom I haven't seen for a loooooong time ever. He's going to propose to his gf soon! Excited for him!! Guess what? His gf and I have the same name. Weird, isn't it? Singapore is very small as well. We found out today and we both have a common aquaintence whom he got to know through his gf and me through my sec school friend.
My dad just farted and blamed it on my dog. How smart. -__-;
That's also my cue that dinner has started. I feel so bloated from the food that Irene and I shared. Thank you Irene for the treat!! :D

It's already Dec and it has been a month since my grandmother has passed away. Christmas is just next week!! Oh gosh...woosh. Mum has still been bugging me about me being jobless (gimme a break).

Met up with J, D and Em last night for dinner plus ice-cream (aka spiritual & mental wellbeing food). It was a very nice night out with them. J was recently retrenched too. Learnt frm D & Em about more ex-colleagues who have been retrenched. Shocking. *sigh* Heard that there's another wave happening in Jan. Who knows who'll be axed next. Times are tough...greed is to be blamed.
On a happier note, I'm still jobless but at least I'm not tired and panda-eyed. :) I love my currently lifestyle albeit the lack of moolah being the only mood dampener.

I will not be having my annual Christmas party at my place because I want a quieter Christmas @ home with my family. That being said, I am looking forward to the costume party + booze fest @ Sing & Chow's new abode! I'm also looking forward to Clem's housewarming party once his & Jo's place is up. Congrats to the 2 of them as well! Yet another one bites the dust! Ok...where's my guy lurking around??
